Terms of Service

Last updated 16 August 2026

These terms form the agreement between you and The Linkt when you create an account or publish a page on thelinkt.com.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and to our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of them. If you are using The Linkt on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind that company.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA) to hold an account. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your sign-in email secure. One person or organisation may hold multiple brands under a single account.

3. The service is free

Every feature of The Linkt is currently offered free of charge, with no usage tier and no payment required. We may introduce paid plans in future; if we do, existing features you already rely on will not be withdrawn without at least 30 days' notice by email.

4. Your content

You keep all ownership of the text, images, links and other material you add. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and publicly display that material solely for the purpose of operating the service and rendering your public page. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

You confirm you have the right to publish everything you upload, including any trade marks, photographs and third-party links, and that doing so does not infringe anyone's rights.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use The Linkt for anything illegal, deceptive, abusive or harmful, and you may not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service or scrape it at scale. The Acceptable Use Policy sets out the detail; breaching it is a breach of these terms.

6. Slugs and usernames

Page slugs are allocated first come, first served, and a set of names is reserved for system routes. We may reclaim a slug that impersonates another brand or person, infringes a trade mark, or is used in breach of these terms. Where possible we will contact you first.

7. Availability

We work to keep the service available and fast, but it is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change, suspend or discontinue features. Planned maintenance affecting published pages will be announced in advance where practical.

8. Suspension and termination

You may delete your account at any time from account settings; deletion is permanent. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or where required by law. Serious abuse — phishing, malware, illegal content — may be removed without prior notice.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost revenue or lost data arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Because the service is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you is limited to EUR 100.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision, and we will email account holders about material changes. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which The Linkt is established, without regard to conflict of law rules. Nothing here removes any mandatory consumer protection you have under the law of your country of residence.
